Unlock the Potential

Trinity School at River Ridge has been a bright light on the educational scene in Minnesota for twenty years. We have grown steadily over that time. Several years ago we were faced with the choice of expanding our current facility or moving to a new location. The sale of our current building and money from the Metropolitan Airports Commission provided a unique opportunity to build a beautiful new school on a new and larger campus. The new school will have more classrooms, first rate science labs, a wonderful stage, a commons area, athletic fields and a gymnasium!

When I am asked what makes Trinity unique I am reminded of a story about one of our graduates. When she was in the 3rd grade she was in the 25 percentile in reading. Now she is a senior in college and is filled with wonder and curiosity. She has tutored college classmates, and led tours for classmates at the Uffizi and other museums in Florence. She found that she was one of the very few students in her college classes who not only knew who Dostoevsky, Marx, Engels, Plato, Aristotle, Homer, Thucydides, Rousseau, Dickens and Hegel were, but had also read their works.

I have seen Trinity students, year after year, read Latin, study physics, chemistry, calculus, computer programming, scripture, political philosophy, history, literature, writing, drama, art and music. I have seen them transformed by that study.

The mission of Trinity Schools is to impart basic ordered knowledge about the world and to train students in basic intellectual skills and qualities of mind. We do this so that they might be of use to God in the wise care and governance of his creation and in the building of his kingdom. In an ever increasingly complex society our children must be the masters of a vast amount of knowledge. They will be called on to make judgments about profoundly complex issues. They will be called on to think clearly, be morally serious and have a habitual vision of greatness.

Your generosity will make it possible for us to carry out our mission. Thank you for your generous support of the Campaign for Trinity School.
